For many years Carel Jansen played soccer in the veterans team of Kampong in Utrecht. Since the summer of 2011 he has been enjoying his membership of a group of veterans called ‘Wednesday United’ (see the picture), that is part of the Groningen soccer club  Be Quick 1887. He is the secretary in the board of ONEC , a countrywide association of veterans teams.
