Carel Jansen and his wife Marijke Meijer Drees live in Aduard, a small village in the northern part of the Netherlands that is famous for its church (part of the Kloostermuseum) that was built in 1297 as an infirmary for the monks in the local monastery.

Work

Prof. dr. Carel Jansen is a professor emeritus in the Faculty of Arts (Communication and Information Studies) at the University of Groningen. He is also affiliated as a research fellow with the Language Centre at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
